From there, a mathematical algorithm calculates the exact "breakeven point" that you must list your item for in order to start turning a profit. Any amount greater than the "breakeven number" will result in a guaranteed profit after the transaction is complete and all expenses are paid. In short, the program guarantees that every item you sell results in a monetary gain.
2.) Income vs. Expense spreadsheet - This spreadsheet is also a very user-friendly program which allows you keep track of all income that you make (your "net profit" number as determined by the eBay Profit Calculator™) and expenses (packaging materials, printer ink, paper, etc.). You simply enter in the net profit that you make on every sale and any expense items that you purchased during the month that are related to your eBay business. The program then sums up all income and expenses and takes the difference between the two. That number is you "monthly profit". In other words, that is exactly how much profit you made in any given month from your eBay business.
Every single step of the process and detailed explanations of how to use the profit calculating programs are all clearly explained in the book.
